As soon as we heard about the New Orleans New Year attack most of us reasonably assumed it would have been done by Islamists. Despite the Establishment's threats about 'misinformation', it was also reasonable to assume that of the Southport murders. It is also reasonable to demand that the authorities take action, positive not reactive, to defend the people against Islamist attack.
