The view from our room in Dali
We were very impressed to see folk, mainly young women, dressed in various forms of traditional dress. We later found out that they were rented for the day. You could be dressed as a Bai one day, a Sung dynasty lady the next, followed by Tibetan, Mongol and many other styles.
And the Chinese love getting their photos taken. It must be far and away the favourite pastime in China. Followed very closely by videos, most of which end up on Tiktok.
