Help Our Veterans Appeal to help former servicemen and women.

A short while ago it was revealed that the Royal British Legion had ben captured by the monstrous regiment of the woke, was looking for a ‘head of diversity’ on £60K a year, and had hired Stonewall to turn it into an LBQ+-!? Mob where ‘pride’ means poncing about in skimpy underwear rather than pride in Britain.

Many vowed never to buy a poppy from it ever again (and cheap and nasty things they are this year).

This was, of course, very sad, as ex-service men and women do need help so we are currently conducting a poll to see which among the following ex-services charities you think we should help. All donations made to this magazine from today to midnight 11 November, Remembrance Day, will be donated to the chosen charity, and we have started it off by donating £25 ourselves.  The charities we ask you to vote for are:

Combat Stress: “Provides specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict, focusing on those with complex mental health issues resulting from their experiences during military service.” Their website says that of every pound donated 76p goes to veteran treatment, 17p on fundraising and 7p on ‘awareness and access’.

SSAFA: “Our support covers both regulars and reserves in the Royal Navy, the Royal Marines, the British Army and the Royal Air Force and their families, including anyone who has completed National Service. We know and understand the unique demands of service life, whether in the UK or overseas, and in times of need, we help to enable the Forces family to thrive.”

Help For Heroes: “At Help for Heroes, we passionately believe that every member of our Armed Forces community should have the opportunity to live well after service. There are many challenges that can make transitioning from the military to civilian life tough. That's why we provide veterans with carefully tailored and holistic support for their physical and mental health, along with their welfare and social needs.”

RAF Benevolent Fund: “As the RAF's leading welfare charity, the RAF Benevolent Fund has been supporting the RAF Family, through thick and thin, for over 100 years. We ensure that your donations are spent directly on meeting the needs of the RAF Family, those serving, veterans and their dependants. Our welfare support is the bedrock of everything that we do. From childcare and relationship difficulties to injury and disability, and from financial hardship and debt to illness and bereavement, we help any member of the RAF Family in a broad range of issues.”

Helping Homeless Veterans UK: Helping Homeless Veterans UK is a Charity that relies solely on donations from the general public as well as grants from companies and organisations which allow us to provide the complete package for those that need assistance. “100% of all public donations are spent on helping our veterans and none of our team are salaried. We have a team of trustees, ambassadors and volunteers who dedicate their free time to helping our country's homeless veterans.”

Of course there are others, equally worthy, including charities that help merchant seamen. But we think it best to help one charity, and that will be the one our readers vote for.

Every penny of donations we receive up to and including Remembrance Day on 11 November will be donated to that charity. Please donate, if you can.
