Britain Explodes and it is the Establishment's Fault: Mass Immigration:

By Tom Armstrong on

That mass immigration has had a catastrophic effect on our society has long been beyond reasonable doubt, apparent to all but the insulated Establishment and the far left fanatics responsible for it. The events of the last couple of weeks have made that as plain as a pikestaff. People are angry and appalled at what has happened to their country.

Britain's future if the Establishment is allowed to carry on as it is.

But the Establishment has also made it plain whose side they are on, and it is not that of the British people. The recent unrest, they say, is wholly and solely the result of far-right thuggery, a tone-deaf piece of hypocrisy that will no doubt fuel further anger.

Nobody has ever voted for mass immigration. It has been forced upon a reluctant but remarkably tolerant people by the globalist Establishment. Labour and Conservative governments, contemptuous of our legitimate concerns, accelerated mass migration over decades, wholly against the wishes of the British public. They forced mass migration on us and said it was racist to object. The end result was always going to be explosive. Many fear civil war. Anything could have set it off, but the murder of three young girls in Southport by a teenager of an immigrant background seems to have done it.

The Establishment was warned and warned again, but didn’t just ignore the warnings, they carried on bringing in ever more immigrants, encouraged illegal immigration and tried to force the British people to change and adapt to accommodate the newcomers – to the fury of the general population, including that of many people from immigrant backgrounds. It is the woke Establishment therefore, that is responsible for the trouble and violence on our streets. And this includes the present government fulminating hypocritically about law and order, in power with the vote of only 20% of the electorate.

Our society is going through rapid and unprecedented change. The foreign-born population of the UK was 9.2 million in 2020. It is probably nearer to 15 million now, possibly more. In 2020 the non-white population accounted for about 14%, about double its 2001 share of 7%. It is probably nearing 20% now.

And we are poorer and less free because of it. Our society is more divided, more dangerous and less free and less democratic. The unwanted influx of millions over the last few years has eroded trust in parliament, the police and the judiciary. Many now feel disenfranchised, oppressed and hated by their own government.

The Establishment has brought in a raft of new and oppressive laws to suppress opposition to its policy of mass immigration. Oppose it and you will be denounced as a racist far right bigot. You can conceivably be imprisoned, like the Leeds man jailed for two years for putting up posters saying ‘white lives matter’.

Society is undergoing rapid changes for the worse, changes which the British people have never voted for and do not want, and who now see a woke tyranny unfolding before them, imposed upon us with not a fig-leaf of democratic legitimacy. Living standards have fallen. Net earnings are down, as is the numbers of self-employed and participation in the labour market.

745,000 immigrants arrived in 2022, one and a half Manchesters. Since then immigration, legal and illegal, has increased again. And the Establishment is doing all it can to increase it again. A city the size of Birmingham, 1.2 million people, arrived last year, this year and almost certainly next year. On current trends 10 million more people will come over the next 15 years, perhaps more. This is uncontrolled mass immigration by any standard.

The usual reason given by the Establishment is the lie that it makes us richer. It might – and this is debatable, even doubtful – increase gross domestic product (GDP). But it certainly reduces GDP per capita, making the average individual poorer by sharing the cake out to more and more people.

Mass immigration began in the late 1940s, mythically because of a shortage of workers after the war. This is nonsense, there was no shortage of labour immediately after the Second World War. People with relevant skills could find jobs, but the unskilled had problems, made worse by the large numbers of women entering the labour force, over 2 million of them between 1950 and 1970, with a substantial capacity for more.

So, when they say that there was a labour shortage they really mean that there was a shortage of cheap labour, the rational response to which would have been to automate and re-skill the work force, as they did in Germany and Japan. But no, from about 1947 the British Establishment started to import unskilled labour in an attempt to drive down wages.

They brought in tens of thousands from backward rural areas of Pakistan, often adherents of the militant Deobandi sect of Islam, similar to the Arabian Salafist model, which seeks to emulate the life and times of Mohammed. Think about that. Islamist hardliners want to return society to the way it was in the Arabian peninsular during the six and seventh century AD.

And it worked. Wages were driven down, enabling companies to compete, for a while, but it also made things worse. The once mighty Lancashire cotton industry for example, brought in unskilled Pakistanis, depressing wages and keeping production prices down. But rivals abroad invested in new, more productive equipment, vastly boosting labour productivity. In Lancashire the availability of an unending supply of cheap labour (together with a unionised work force) inhibited such investment and the UK cotton industry fell farther and farther behind, and then collapsed.

The cotton mills have gone. But the Pakistani immigrants are still there, many still cleaving to their savage form of Islam, if anything even more intolerant than before. Most are still unskilled and can be aggressive, quick to use violence and the threat of violence in response to perceived threats to their religion and group identity. This is made worse by the appeasement, tacit support even, that this aggression gets from the Establishment and MSM, in complete contrast to the venomous response the white working class gets if it resorts to violence to protect its group identity.

In 2021, Muslims had the lowest percentage of people aged 16 to 64 years in employment, only 51.4% compared with 70.9% of the overall population. This immigrant group therefore, disproportionately consumes more taxpayer’s money than any other. They are also far more likely to live in subsidised council housing. And Establishment appeasement and collaboration with militant Islamist, often to the dismay of the many peaceful, moderate Muslims, has created huge and worrying animosity to this group, who are now seen by many as a serious threat to our way of life.

The economic case for mass immigration just does not add up so it is being replaced by a scare story about declining population that is as false as the economic argument. We need more immigration as our population ages, to fill vacancies, and to keep the public finances stable they say, Professor David Miles of Imperial College and a member of the Budget Responsibility Committee disagrees and argues that the overall quality of life is usually better in countries with static or even shrinking populations. “Predictions of dire effects” from falling populations, he wrote, “are implausible”.

There is mounting evidence of the truth of that conclusion. The UK has been running very high levels of net migration for the last 20 years without becoming noticeably richer. Indeed, according to World Bank, GDP per person fell from $50,000 in 2007 to $45,000 in 2022. By contrast Japan, with a shrinking population but very little immigration, has grown steadily wealthier despite its demographics. It is the first major economy to experience population decline yet its economy grew by 1.1pc in 2022 and GDP per capita was even higher (Britain barely escaped recession and GDP per capita fell).

In Italy, where immigration levels are even higher than Britain’s, the economy has stagnated, recording close to zero growth over two decades. As Miles argues, immigration might add to total output, but even if it does, it also means higher costs in infrastructure and extra state services. In other words, you are worse off.

And this is happening all over the formerly white, formerly democratic world. Immigration surged in 2022 and 2023. GDP per person in Britain fell but tumbled in Germany. In Canada it remains nearly 4% down. Over 1.3m immigrants went to Canada in 2023.

And mass immigration makes you worse off in other ways. Islamist violence and terrorism has huge financial costs, as has Black youth’s tendency to criminality and fecklessness in fathering and abandoning children. They, with Muslims and other migrants make up a disproportionately large number of those in prison. It costs almost £50,000 to keep a prisoner in jail for a year. And then there is lost business and production resulting from crime and the fear of crime.

Crime statistics are notoriously unreliable and do not give all the information required to assess how much of it is perpetrated by immigrants or the offspring of immigrants. Anecdotally, and instinctively, it is likely to be high, if prison statistics are a guide; foreign nationals made up 12% of the prison population. Minority ethnicities made up 27%, almost ten percentage points more than the overall population and, therefore, much greater than the white population.

The Establishment's policy of mass immigration and the abuse of our asylum system has cost innocent lives. The last few weeks have seen the attempted murder of a British soldier in Gillingham, the attack on police at Manchester airport, and the heart-breaking murder of three young girls in Southport and more. All by immigrants or people of an immigrant background.

Migration Watch lists examples of serious crimes committed since 2016 by asylum abusers alone:

Officials missed six chances to remove illegal immigrant Hani Khalaf before he bludgeoned Jairo Medina, 62, to death in London’s Hyde Park in August 2016 for his mobile phone and a few pounds. Khalaf was allowed to remain despite falsely claiming to be a Syrian refugee when he arrived in Kent two years earlier, hidden in a lorry. The career criminal had previously been arrested at least six times for theft and fraud but was released rather than deported.

A Somalian double rapist was allowed to stay in the UK on human rights grounds after a judge said he would face ‘degrading’ treatment in his home country due to his mental health. The 49-year-old arrived in Britain in 2004 and claimed asylum and then had eight convictions in the space of six years including robbery, trying to pervert the course of justice and raping two women.

Many were injured when an illegal immigrant exploded a bomb on a London tube train in September 2017, having been allowed to stay in the country after lying about his age.

Rachid Redouane, a Moroccan-born failed asylum seeker was one of the perpetrators of the June 2017 London Bridge attacks, in which 11 people were killed and 48 injured (21 critically). His 2009 claim for asylum was rejected but he remained to commit the 2017 murders.

Kuwaiti hit and run driver – Hadi Hamid – who nearly killed two teenagers in Middlesbrough in 2017 after ploughing into them with his car, was allowed to stay even though his refugee status was revoked.

An Afghan asylum seeker – Samiulahaq Akbari – tried to murder a complete stranger in Thornton Heath, London while ‘fuelled’ by a desire to kill English people. He was convicted of attempted murder, which had taken place just 12 days after he was released from prison for another assault.

In 2020 there was a triple stabbing in Reading by a failed Libyan asylum seeker who had been granted leave to remain despite having criminal convictions and being in a terrorist group.

There was the horrific murder of seven-year-old Emily Jones in Bolton by a failed asylum seeker.

A Sudanese asylum seeker stabbed six people, including a police officer on a violent rampage in a hotel in Glasgow.

32-year-old Lorraine Cox was murdered in Exeter in 2020 by a failed asylum claimant.

An asylum fraudster injured a man when he blew himself up outside a Liverpool hospital in 2021.

In 2022 Lawangeen Abdulrahimzai murdered an aspiring Royal Marine in Bournemouth. Abdulrahimzai had lied about his age and had already killed two people in Serbia. He claimed he was 14 but was actually 18. The authorities put him into a school full of young girls.

And it gets no better. Last month, a Jordanian immigrant who assaulted a female police officer was spared jail and community work as he doesn't speak English.

Two Egyptian thugs that assaulted a man to steal his £25k Rolex were also spared jail.

Bangladeshis rioted in Tower Hamlets over political unrest in Bangladesh, and the police did nothing.

And the adverse effects of mass immigration are not limited to the financial and the violence it results in. Housing costs and rents have increased because of it, and education standards and access to schools of choice have reduced. Access to health care is limited, while the standards of its provision has fallen.

All this has resulted in a serious loss of trust in government, the State and the criminal justice system, as is apparent by the swirl of rumours, counter-rumours and government evasion following the recent Southport murders and the Manchester airport attacks, clearly the result of the Establishment trying to keep people in the dark and, in the case of the airport attack, lying to appease Islamists. This two-tier approach has led many to disbelieve whatever the government and police say and has led to the justifiable anger at the leniency given to approved groups we are now seeing. One of the biggest victim groups of all this is the many innocent and law-abiding people of immigrant stock

The Establishment’s reaction to violence depends on who is responsible for it. If it is ethnic groups or Muslims, it goes out of its way to ‘understand’ its cause, such as the recent rioting in Leeds from which the police ran away. Following the violent attack on the police in Manchester airport they suspended the policeman, but the Muslim attackers go free. There are numerous videos online of mobs of Muslims outside mosques in Stoke and Bolton waving knives and swords while the police look on, doing nothing.

In stark contrast the Establishment has made serious threats to ‘hammer’ white demonstrators protesting about the Southport murders and mass immigration and is threatening to further erode free speech. A senior Labour advisor has even suggested society should be locked down to deal with the protests. No attempt has been made to understand the cause of these riots, just mindless and sinister threats of retaliation against the mythical ‘far right’ – anybody who opposes mass immigration.

The courts have been opened on a 24-hour basis and they and the disgraceful MSM have embarked on a major propaganda campaign to dismiss the protests as examples of ‘far right’ thuggery. The Labour government is almost certainly using these demonstrations as an excuse for further attacks on free speech. In any event, such ‘two-tier’ policing is now a serious cause of resentment among a large proportion of the indigenous population. The government’s reaction is almost certain to make it worse and again, innocent people from all sections of society are likely to suffer. Nobody would be surprised if that is what the Establishment wants.

The political class sneers at the public’s overwhelming desire for controlling immigration and the robust dealing with immigrants that commit crimes. And it is innocents like those three little girls in Southport who pay the price.

The Establishment has repeatedly lied about ‘reducing immigration. Time and time again we have been told, especially by the Tories, they are going to ‘crackdown’. Time and time again they did nothing.

If you keep promising something but never do it, people are entitled to conclude that you are lying. In four separate general elections the Tories promised to bring down legal immigration numbers. Post Brexit they changed the rules, not to tighten and reduce immigration but to open the borders, a decision many think was to punish the British people for daring to vote the ‘wrong way’, and to dilute it to the extent that it will never happen again. Who knows, but who can blame people for thinking that way?

When the scale of this immigration explosion became clear to the people, the Government promised, again, to reduce legal immigration (to take effect many months later). The result? Again they lied, another large surge was pushed through, with roughly 700,000 or so arriving. Who can trust the political establishment after this?

We need to remember that many Muslims are peaceful and prepared to integrate, and that many in other ethnic groups are perfectly respectable, hard-working people who share our values. This state of affairs is not their fault, it is the fault of the lunatics who forced mass immigration and their absurd multiculturalism on us.

Nobody wants this violence on Britain’s streets, and it should be roundly condemned and condemn it without qualification. But do not fall for the government’s false narrative of far-right thuggery being to blame. It is government by a wholly unrepresentative group of woke globalists, very much represented by the likes of Kneel Starmer, a man many abhor because of his appalling record as DPP and of appeasing ethnic violence, that is responsible. They need to be held to account and mass immigration needs to be stopped.

"And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house."
